Dr. Robert putt       

Dr. Putt is a native of Big Island VA. He has degrees from Bluefield College, Radford University, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Drew University. Dr. Putt has been a Youth Minister, Minister of Education, Associate Pastor and Pastor. He has served as Director of Missions for Pittsylvania Baptist Association and most recently as Director of the Lynchburg Baptist Association. He serves as Adjunct Professor in the Religious Studies Department at Lynchburg College. He is married to Vicky Humphreys and has three daughters, Ashley, Jami and Chelsey.

Rev. Randy kent

Randy Kent began serving West Lynchburg Baptist Church as Minister of Music and Senior Adults in February of 2004. He came to West Lynchburg after serving as Minister of Music at First Baptist Church of Fairborn, Ohio, from 1996 - 2004. He has also served previously in: First Baptist Church of Laredo, Texas; Bethesda Baptist Church in Burleson, Texas; First Southern Baptist Church of Clairemont in San Diego, California; and Calvary Baptist Church in Chula Vista, California. Randy grew up in Poway, California, (a suburb of San Diego). He attended San Diego State University where he met his wife, Jeanne, in Concert Choir. They graduated together in 1983, both with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. In 1989, Randy received his Master of Music in Church Music degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.

Randy married Jeanne Ramel on August 1, 1981. They have two children: Dawn, a recent psychology graduate of Liberty University, who is now pursuing a nursing degree at Virginia Commonwealth University and Daniel, a senior at Liberty University pursuing a music degree with an emphasis in percussion. Randy’s hobbies include: bicycling, fixing whatever needs to be fixed around the house, keeping up the yard, ringing in the Bells of the Blue Ridge (a community handbell choir in Lynchburg), singing in the Virginia Baptist Male Chorale, and writing and arranging music. Under his legal name, David R. Kent, he has published several arrangements and compositions for handbells with six different publishers, including LifeWay.

Nathan Phaefer

Brother Nathan was born in Union, Oregon. His dad is a prison chaplain for Idaho and Oregon, and his mom is a retired nurse who now owns her own fabric and yarn store. Following God’s calling, he moved to Lynchburg and is currently at Liberty University majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Strategic Intelligence and Psychology.

Pam anderson

Pam Anderson has served as Financial Secretary at West Lynchburg since 1988.  She grew up in Rockford, Illinois, and came to Lynchburg in 1983 to attend Liberty University.  She met her husband Ron while working in Lynchburg and they now reside in the Forest area.  They have two daughters, Brittany and Brooke.  Both daughters live in Blacksburg, Virginia.  Brittany is a recent Political Science graduate of Virginia Tech and is now working for Rick Boucher’s campaign.  Brooke is a Junior at Virginia Tech pursuing a degree in Hospitality Tourism Management.  Pam’s hobbies include spending time with her family, playing the piano, scrapbooking, reading and vacationing.

Sue Thomas       

Suejayne (Sue) Thomas has served as the Administrative Assistant to the Ministry at West Lynchburg Baptist Church since February, 2001, having moved to Lynchburg in 2000. She met her husband, Kenneth Thomas, in New Jersey at their family church. They have two married children; Their son, Bill Thomas is married to Laura and they have four children, Saoirse, Cian, Cailiosa, and Laoise Thomas.  Bill is serving in the Air Force and the family is stationed in Florida.  Their daughter Stacey is married to Mark Smith and live in New Jersey.  When she is not working, Sue enjoys visits with her family, spoiling her grandchildren, quilting, and playing bridge with friends.
