West Lynchburg Baptist Church is committed to providing a safe, fun place where children of all ages can connect with God through:

WORSHIP

- Nursery/Extended Care: Childcare is available for children from birth-age 3 during all of our worship services, and for children through age 4 during the Sunday morning service. Located on the first floor of the Education Building.

- Children’s Time with the Pastor: A special time during our Sunday morning worship service when all children are invited down to the platform for a chat with Dr. Mike. He loves to hear what the kids have learned in Sunday School, and sometimes he even gives them a chance to try to stump him with questions about the Bible!

- Kids in Worship (K-4th grade): Following the Children’s Time with the Pastor, children from kindergarten-4th grade may go to Kids in Worship, a special time of music, activities and learning designed to put worship on their level! Available September-May.

- Music Ministry: West Lynchburg Baptist Church offers a variety of choirs and instrumental ensembles to teach children how to praise the Lord through music. Learn more about our children’s music ministry by clicking here.

DISCIPLESHIP

-Sunday School: Introducing children to the Bible in age-appropriate settings, Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM. To find a Sunday School class for your child, click here.

-TeamKID: A fun, high-energy program combining Bible study, life application, and recreation to encourage kids to know Jesus Christ and grow in a relationship with Him. Meets Sunday nights at 6:30 PM, September-May.

FELLOWSHIP

MINISTRY

At West Lynchburg Baptist Church, we believe it is never to early to teach children the importance of reaching out to others. One way we do this is through our age-graded missions education program. Please follow the links for more information.

EVANGELISM

In all of our children’s programs, our workers partner with parents to steer children towards the most important decision they can make: entering into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In addition, West Lynchburg Baptist Church sets aside a special time every year for intentional outreach to the children of our community through Vacation Bible School:

Dedication of J.J.'s Playground!

On March 29, 2009, WLBC dedicated J.J.'s Playground, a new state-of-the-art playground constructed as a memorial to Pfc. Jason D. Scheuerman, a WLBC member who died while serving with the US Army in Operation Iraqi Freedom. For photos from the dedication service, view the slideshow on the right. Christmas Workshop! Coming December 2010 For kids ages 4 - Grade 6 Drop off the kids for some pizza, game, and crafty Christmas fun while you take care of holiday errands or enjoy a date with your spouse! To register your child, contact the church off at 845-4600
